Why should we learn about Spirituality?
We are not merely flesh and bone, we are beings of pure energy. In its highest state, the
soul is one with the Universe, resting in infinite love and bliss, boundless and free. But
when that soul takes form, whether as a human, a planet, or any object in creation, it
becomes limited by time, space, and circumstance. Deep within, it still longs for the peace
and bliss as it once knew, for its true nature is infinity itself. Yet the Ego, Mind, and Five
Senses distract and drain this divine energy, using it to chase desires that never truly satisfy.
In the material world, we study disciplines like engineering, medicine, or law to gain tools
for making a living. Spirituality, however, is the higher science, the art of managing the
Ego, the Body, and the Mind. It reveals our true potential and answers the timeless
question: “Who am I?” It shows that when the body is still and the mind is quiet, consciousness expands, from the space within your home to the garden, to the Earth, and beyond, until it embraces the entire Universe.
Before learning how to navigate the outer world, every person should first attend the school
of the spirit, to discover who they truly are. Closing the eyes and beholding the Divine
Star Light within is the first step. This inner light becomes the Guru within, a guiding
lamp through the dark and dense forest of earthly life. Without it, we wander aimlessly,
never knowing our true purpose, until our allotted time ends and the opportunity is lost.
The power of spirituality is beyond measure. When you are worn out, you can draw energy
directly from the Universe, recharging like a phone connected to its source. When you
yearn for bliss, you can immerse yourself in sacred sound of Shabad Kirtan or Bhajans and
feel every cell of your body vibrate with joy. When you seek oneness, you can still the
mind and allow consciousness to expand beyond the limits of time and space, touching
the infinite.
What material possession can give you this much peace, happiness, and bliss, without
costing a single cent? All of it is already within you, powered by your own soul. This is
the magic of spirituality.
For me, the art of living is to enjoy both the spiritual and material worlds, to walk among
them with mastery and balance. To explore the realms of the Universe, to dissolve into
oneness, and to fulfill the true purpose of coming to Earth. In this awakened state, the
Higher Self becomes the master of the Ego and Mind. The five senses no longer rule us;
pain and suffering fade; fear dissolves; and trust, courage, and confidence rise like a new
dawn.
In that moment, one realizes, I am powered by the same light that powers the Universe. I
am the Divine. I am God.
